Rivelate le nomination per l’edizione 2015 dei BAFTA, ossia i premi British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Gli “Oscar inglesi” premiano ogni anno il meglio della cinematografia britannica e internazionale e costituiscono da sempre un antipasto assai attendibile delle tendenze dell’Academy in vista degli Oscar.
In cima alla lista, con il maggior numero di nomination , quest’anno c’è The Grand Budapest Hotel di Wes Anderson, con ben 11 candidature. Seguono Birdman di Alejandro G. Inarritu e La teoria del tutto di Tim Bevan, entrambi a 10 nomination. Solo nove candidature invece per The Imitation Game.
Nella categoria “miglior film”, The Grand Budapest Hotel si scontrerà con Birdman, Boyhood, The Imitation Game e La teoria del tutto; il film di Anderson compare anche nella cinquina della “migliore regia”, accanto a Inarritu (Birdman), Richard Linklater (Boyhood), James Marsh (The imitation game) e Damien Chazelle (Whiplash).
Nella lotta per il “migliore attore protagonista”, Ralph Fiennes (The Grand Budapest Hotel) proverà a soffiare il premio a Michael Keaton (Birdman), Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) e ai britannici Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) e Eddie Redmayne (La Teoria del tutto). Sul versante femminile Amy Adans (Big Eyes) corre contro Felicity Jones (La Teoria del tutto), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Reese Witherspoon (Wild) e Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl)
La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà il prossimo 16 febbraio a Londra, presso la Royal Opera House, e verrà condotta da Stephen Fry.
